Vanness Wu is primarily known as a member of Taiwanese boy band, F4. He is multilingual and speaks fluent English and Mandarin. His songs are mainly in the R&B, rap, and pop style. He has released one solo album, "My Body Will Sing." He was given a starring role in the Taiwanese drama series, Meteor Garden and its sequel, Meteor Garden II, and went on to play roles in a few other drama series. He also acted in a few movies, including
Star Runner with Korean actress Hyun Joo Kim, and
Dragon Squad (with Shawn Yue, Sammo Hung, Maggie Q, Michael Beihn and Li Bing Bing).
Vanness collaborated with Korean pop-star, Kangta, in an unprecedented mixing of Chinese and Korean pop culture. They released their single, "Scandal" in May of 2006 and it went on to become a huge hit in Asia. As of late, he also sung in a duet with Coco Lee entitled "Hip Hop Tonight," which can be heard in Coco's album, Wow!! Coco.
